Ashley Qi to Perform at Scholarship Pageant
This summer, Ashley Qi, who is a student at the Academy for Health and Medical Sciences will compete for the national title of USA National Jr Teen as well as a $5,000 scholarship and a prize package valued at over $100,000 at the national pageant this summer.
Along with outstanding young women from across the United States, Ashley, who is the reigning USA National Miss NJ Jr Teen, will travel to Disney World from July 4-10, 2021 for the highly anticipated USA National Miss Scholarship Pageant. Representing the state, Ashley will compete in evening gown, interview and a runway fashion show event in order to claim the honor of being crowned the national winner.
Ashley has been a performer since she was two years old, when she started dancing. Her love for the arts grew, and at four years old, she started playing the piano. She is trained in martial arts, as well, and can play the violin. She loves to sing and enjoys musical theatre, as well as baking. She was a peer leader at Green Brook middle school, and upon graduating, received an award. She is planning a fundraiser for the Red Cross, and many other community service projects. At “The Academy,” she is Student Council Vice President, with a 4.0 GPA. She is dedicated to volunteering, appearing virtually and donating, even through the pandemic. As the USA National Miss NJ Jr Teen, she wants to take her platform, SelfLove, to a wider audience. She also wants to raise awareness and talk about bullying, through the UNM platform Crown CARES.
USA National Miss provides young women ages 4 to 25 with the opportunity to combine their love of pageantry with other optional elements to custom design their pageant experience- whether their focus is on fashion and modeling, or talent, education, community service, and mentorship. Awarding six prestigious national titles, USA National Miss has awarded nearly a million dollars in cash, prizes and full ride college scholarships since 2010. Delegates can also earn titles, crowns, prizes and scholarship money in optional competitions in areas of interest to them including academics, community service and talent.
