The Arthur L. Johnson High School Guidance Department held its annual College Fair on October 6th. More than 300 students, parents, teachers, and administrators were present for the opportunity to meet with admissions representatives from over 120 colleges, universities, and branches of the military. Students and families discussed a variety of topics with the representatives including admission requirements, program offerings, financial aid information, and much more. These conversations assisted students in getting a sense of what might fit best for them in their college planning.
Schools exhibited at the fair included The College of New Jersey, Elon University, Villanova University, University of Connecticut, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and many other public and private institutions of higher education. “I was elated to see the success of this event by the number of students and parents that attended. It is such a supportive and encouraging environment. I enjoyed walking around and seeing all the positive interaction among the college representatives and students,” said Supervisor of Pupil Personnel Services/Guidance Mrs. Bonnie Mingin.
The ALJ Guidance Department would like to thank the college representatives and visitors for a worthwhile event!
