You can dance, you can jive … and you can come have … the time of your life … as ALJ presents Mamma Mia! The insanely popular musical will rock the auditorium at the end of March when 20 immensely talented student performers will sing and dance to the beloved ABBA songs that we all know.
This well-known musical ran on Broadway for 14 years and was turned into one of the most successful movie musicals, starring Meryl Streep. It is one of the only musicals out there where practically everyone knows all the words to all the songs. “For those of us who grew up in the 70’s and 80’s, these songs are ingrained in our psyches and for the generations after, they have made them their own thanks to the movie, says director Peter Nevargic who also promises that, “our Mamma Mia! will be a party onstage and it will be hard to resist singing along and maybe even do some dancing in the aisles!?”
