Summit residents Christine and Scott Hayward were honored by the Reeves-Reed Arboretum during their Art in the Garden gala held on June 10th. The couple were honored in recognition of their passionate and unwavering commitment to Reeves-Reed Arboretum. Scott, having served as a Trustee for RRA and a past Board President, has long been active in identifying and strengthening the mission and vision of the Arboretum. As the new CEO for Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co., and with a primary and strategic focus on climate change, Scott marries his passion for the environment with his expertise in delivering investment excellence and innovation. Scott serves on the boards at Newark Academy (Livingston), Give To The World (a humanitarian aid organization), and as an advisor to the Quiet Revolution.
A former Trustee of the Summit Educational Foundation, the Lincoln Hubbard Parent Organization, and Prospect Cooperative Nursery School, Christine is currently active on the Board of Kent Place School and a long-time volunteer for Meals on Wheels at SAGE (Summit) and at the Corpus Christi Church (Chatham). Together, they are members of the St. Barnabas NICU Miracle Walk Advisory Committee, and share a deep passion for social justice, outdoor life, art, music, friends and especially family.
