Fundraiser Brings in $186 for FVFD
During Fanny Wood Day 11-year-old Anika Rauniyar organized a fundraiser support the Fanwood Volunteer Fire Department. Setting up a booth with the township’s assistance, Anika showcased her handmade bracelets and paintings. The event attendees were drawn to her creative spirit and compassion, and they eagerly purchased her artwork.
Anika’s efforts paid off, and she raised a total of $186 on that day. This sum was donated directly to the Fanwood Volunteer Fire Department, helping them continue their essential work in the community.
Chief John Piccola of the Fanwood Volunteer Fire Department expressed his gratitude, stating, “Every contribution, no matter how big or small, means a lot to us. Anika’s fundraiser is a perfect example of the community spirit that keeps our department going.”
Anika’s fundraiser reminds us all that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a significant impact on a community. It’s a testament to the power of compassion and the willingness of residents to support those who protect and serve them.
As Fannywood Day drew to a close, the satisfaction on Anika’s face and the grateful smiles of those who supported her were a clear indication of the success of her endeavor.
