American Legion Auxiliary Unit #43 Upcoming Events
The first project on the agenda for American Legion Auxiliary Unit #43 will be their participation in Bottle Hill Day on Saturday, October 5, 2019. They will once again offer Memorial Poppies for a donation, as well as other Poppy items for sale. Money raised through Poppies each year is used to fund activities for veterans at Lyons VA Hospital. The first activity for this year will be an Off Station Party on Friday, November 1 at Post #43. Veterans will be bused to the Post at 20 Ridgedale Avenue in Florham Park where they will be treated to a home cooked meal and entertainment will be provided. They will also receive a gift package of treats on their departure back to the hospital.
On October 12, 2019, the Unit will sponsor a Yard Sale with a focus on the upcoming holidays. It will run from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. A large variety of items is anticipated. Rain date is Sunday, October 13. Tables will be available to the public at a cost of $10.
