American Legion Auxiliary Unit #43 to hold Corned Beef Dinner

Corned Beef Dinner Open to Public

American Legion Auxiliary Unit #43

The ladies of American Legion Auxiliary Unit #43 have held a Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner annually for close to 60 years. This year’s dinner/fundraiser—now open to the public—will be held on Sunday, March 13 from 1 – 5 p.m. at the Madison-Florham American Legion Post #43, 20 Ridgedale Avenue in Florham Park. For a complete dinner including homemade Irish Soda Bread and dessert, a donation of $20 is suggested for adults; $5.00 for children under the age of 5. Corned Beef Sandwiches are available at a suggested donation of $15. Dine with us or take your meal home—whichever suits you.

Usually this event is limited to the Legion family, but this year we invite all residents of the area to join Auxiliary members at the dinner to show support for the volunteer and financial support the Auxiliary provides to our area veterans in need.

The annual fundraiser has also made it possible over the years to sponsor the following in our local communities: American Legion Auxiliary’s Girls State, the Valerie Fund, Family Promise, the Special Olympics, and scholarships for children and grandchildren of veterans.
