Christine L. Smith joined the Warren Township School District as the new principal of Angelo L. Tomaso School, effective as of July 1st, 2016.
The Board of Education approved Smith’s appointment at its June 6th meeting. Smith, who was principal of Memorial Middle School in Spotswood, will succeed Kathryn Bond, who retired at the end of the June after 18 years with the district, 11 years as ALT principal and 7 as dean of students at Warren Middle School.
Smith says she looks forward to serving “as the instructional leader with talented staff at a level that matches my experience as a teacher.” And she says she is eager to get back “to the elementary world and to work with our youngest learners.”
