In April students from Arthur L. Johnson High School competed at a regional academic competition organized by The New Jersey Science League. Students compete by taking tests in subject areas that reflect their current course enrollment this school year. Students participate as part of a team where the performance of all of the test takers from a school is used to calculate a team score.
For the first time in school history, Arthur L. Johnson took first place in every subject in which it had teams participating. Those subjects are and the students who competed therein are:
• Environmental Science: Saga Elsehely, Emma Knutson, Maryann Majosiej, and Gregory Zukowski
• Biology I: Andrew Lakkis, Kayla Kowalenko, and Robert Prussack
• Chemistry I: Brandon Kennedy, Kelsey Marques, David Piskaldo, and Brooke Vaccaro
• Chemstry II: Zachary Chieco, Nicholas Makosiej, Stephanie Patriarcs, and Georgia Stavarkis
• Physics I: Jen Casalino, Hart Tecson, and Eric Velasquez
• Physics II: Andrew Kamichoff, Konrad Kosiek, and Stefani Scalia
Arthur L. Johnson, along with the remainder of the Clark Public Schools and Clark Community, is incredibly proud of the outstanding academic achievements of these students.
