Mystic Vision Players concludes 32nd summer season
Mystic Vision Players concluded its 32nd summer season on August 2nd with the Children’s Summer Theatre Workshop (CSTW) production of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Jr. After only a few weeks of practice, the students presented this outstanding musical to great acclaim thanks to the support of family, friends, and our outstanding staff.
This year’s graduates Aliyana Davis, Kendall Pittman, Samir Reid, Shaney Santiago Segura, and Penelope Spencer led a cast of 23 students ages 8-14 in a month-long program where they learned and explored all aspects of theatre both on stage and backstage. Daily classes included voice lessons, choreography, acting games, design skills and more where students learned while rehearsing.
“We want our workshop students to not only know Alice, but have education and confidence they can take with them back to their schools and into the world,” says director Howard Whitmore. “Our goal has always been to inspire the future by sharing something we love with the community that grew us. Every child deserves a chance to be in the spotlight.”
Thanks to the support of the Linden Public Schools, Mayor Derek Armstead, and the generosity of donors in our community, the CSTW continues to thrive and support the youth of Linden.
