On January 22, 2022 our son Mike Pfahler passed away from Parkinson’s Disease. Mike lived most of his life in Cranford. He was known as “Mike the Bike”. Mike was retarded since birth. This handicap did not slow him down in any way. He attended area schools, and their related special needs programs.
Mike was known by just about everyone in Cranford, and Garwood, because of the time he spent on his trusty bike. Every parade, as well as street fairs, found him at those events. Most serving on the police and fire departments, and rescue squads, as well as store owners, and everyday residents knew him. He so enjoyed those times riding around the towns.
His wake was held at Dooley Funeral Home on February 13, 2022. It was attended by family, and friends, and it would have been Mike’s shining moment meeting all those who attended.
He will be missed by everyone who knew him, and his bright smile. Pedal on “Mike the Bike”.
