More than 100 people lined up for free COVID-19 vaccinations Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021, at Forest Road Park in Fanwood. With word that the Omicron variant is in New Jersey and highly transmissible, the Westfield Regional Health Department sponsored this vaccine drive for BOOST NJ Day. All three vaccines, first, second and third shots, were available on a walk-in basis. Most folks got boosters from the public health nurses and volunteers who were on hand.
COVID cases have been on the rise in Fanwood during the month of December, even though we have a high rate of vaccination. The best advice from all the experts is get vaccinated and get boosted!
