Virtual Programs at the Cranford Public Library
The Cranford Public Library is hosting some great virtual family programs in August. Children ages six months to two years and a caregiver are invited to join us for Boogie Woogie Babies, a 30-45 minute dance class. This program meets on Mondays, August 3, 10, 17, and 24 at 10:00 a.m. Classes consist of singing and dancing geared towards working on fine motor skills. We always end class with a dance routine that includes baby and their big person. Visit cranfordlibrary.org/calendar/ to find a link to this online program.
Every Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. the library will post a new “We’re Gonna Make It!” video challenge on the library’s YouTube page. In each challenge, Lauren the Librarian gives families an idea of something to build or make. Past challenges include recycled robots, cardboard dinosaurs, and tin foil sculptures. All projects make use of common household items and leave plenty of room for creativity. Participants can submit photos to l-antolino@cranfordnj.org to have their work included in the next week’s video.
