Cranford Jaycees Annual Firecracker Four-Miler & Fun Run Continues Virtually

Cranford Jaycees Annual Firecracker Four-Miler and Fun Run

Continues for it’s 41st Year

The Cranford Fourth of July tradition is returning virtually for its 41st year. The Cranford Jaycees’ annual Firecracker Four Miler and Fun Run has adapted to current social distancing guidelines by becoming a virtual event. Participants can run the traditional one or four mile distances, or a distance of their choice, anytime and anywhere they wish during the holiday weekend.

A live stream on TV35 and Facebook will commence at 8:15 am with runner interviews, a live yoga warmup class provided by Alluem Yoga, and the singing of our national anthem. At 9:00, the traditional starting cannon will fire, officially kicking off the race.

Participants may submit their times to record in the race results system. There will also be new prize categories this year, such as Most Spirited Outfits and Participant Competing the Furthest Distance from Cranford.

All registered participants will receive a commemorative race shirt. Shirts will be available for pre-race pickup for all who register by June 22nd. The first 400 adult entrants also receive an official pint glass. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Cranford Jaycees scholarship program and other community service efforts. The Jaycees recently awarded a total of $25,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Cranford.

Registration is now live at www.raceforum.com/fire-4. Questions can be emailed to roadrace@cranfordjaycees.org.
