Green Brook Girls Scouts Aid Healthcare Workers
The Girl Scouts Service Unit #62 of Dunellen/Green Brook, aided our local front line workers by donating much needed supplies. While some scout families donated money to purchase shoes to benefit the Overlook Hospital workers, others chose to sew masks for numerous healthcare facilities.
Families were able to donate footwear through an initiative set up by Suburban shoes in Madison, NJ.
Other scouts chose to sew fabric masks for use by healthcare workers not directly interacting with Covid 19 patients. Six Green Brook scouts created over 140 masks that were donated to Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Hospital, and a local rehabilitation center.
