Summit Police Department Present “Fight Back! A Woman’s Self Defense Class”
This summer the Summit Police Department offered a program entitled Fight Back! A Woman’s Self Defense Class.
54 pre-registered Summit participants in 9th grade and up learned hands on self-defense maneuvers. This successful program will be offered to middle school aged Summit females in October, with a repeat of the 9th grade and up category in early December for Summit residents who missed the priority registration for this class.
The Lead Instructor of the program was Officer Donnie DeFilippis, who has an extensive background in wrestling and mixed martial arts.
