Carl H. Kumpf National Junior Honor Society Induction
The Carl H. Kumpf National Junior Honor Society inducted 21 new members into its chapter on Thursday, April 25, 2019. In addition to achieving a cumulative weighted average of 4.0, students also had to demonstrate strong examples of leadership, service, character, and citizenship. Students participated in a candle lighting ceremony relaying the cardinal principles of Honor Society. New members also took a pledge promising to uphold the ideals of Honor Society in their school and community. The ceremony was led by the advisor, Ms. Hamilton and the NJHS officers. New inductees were awarded membership cards and medals, which they will wear at graduation.
NJHS Advisor Ms. Hamilton stated, “I am so incredibly proud of this new group of inductees. They proved that they had more than just the academic honors, but that they are involved in the community and demonstrate good character.”
The 2019 NJHS Inductees were: Michael Calabrese, Dillon Cahill, Gwendalyn Cahill, Anthony Dorey, Rebecca Fogle, Talia Fabrizzio, Emily Fernandez, Gina Galiszewski, Kyle Gunsiorowski, Olivia Huff, Riley Milford, Taylor Normann, Tania Oliveira, Vania Oliveira, Gina Osborne, Nina Sangiuliano, Eva Sarantidis, Noah Stout, Nila Tasharofi, Gabriella Weintraub, and Grace Wright.
