Chelsea presents check to Alzheimer’s New Jersey

Chelsea Senior Living capped a year-long fundraising drive by presenting a check for $32,937.46 to Alzheimer’s New Jersey, a non-profit supporting individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and their families.

Roger Bernier, Chelsea President and Chief Operating Officer, presented the check on January 9, 2019 to Ken Zaentz, President and CEO of Alzheimer’s New Jersey at the Chelsea corporate headquarters in Fanwood. Chelsea’s 17 properties in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania all provide specialized services to individuals with Alzheimer’s and other memory impairments.

“We are proud of our association with Alzheimer’s New Jersey,” said Bernier. “It provides a spectrum of support services that make lives a little bit easier for those affected by this devastating disease.”

Chelsea communities engage in year-long fundraising activities including bake sales, tricky tray auctions, t-shirt sales and many other events. The campaign is capped in the fall by the annual Lace Race, a walk-a-thon held in Thompson Park in Jamesburg that brings in additional funds.
