There are many Old Guard fraternal organizations in New Jersey and all have memberships of retired men who join together to share common bonds, information and companionship through weekly meetings and many various activities. Our organization, the Summit Old Guard, was formed on December 2, 1930. On December 4, 2018 we are celebrating our 4,000th weekly meeting. This will be a special event for us. We currently have more than 200 members from Summit and surrounding communities and welcome new members almost every week. Our meetings are held each Tuesday at the New Providence Borough Hall starting at 10:00 a.m. More information can be found on our website at summitoldguard.org, which describes our activities and meetings in detail.
