Rotary Means Business Social

Rotary International District 7475 is inviting Rotarians, business professionals and community leaders who are interested in expanding business opportunities and making a positive difference locally and globally to its “Rotary Means Business” (RMB) networking social. The social, hosted by Madison Rotary, will be on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse, 522 Southern Blvd, Chatham Township. RMB will meet monthly at various locations hosted by area Rotary clubs.

Attendees will have the opportunity to introduce themselves and their businesses and professions at the social. In addition to making new business connections and expanding their professional networks, attendees will meet service-driven area Rotarians and learn about the competitive advantages of being Rotarians. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards to exchange. Admission is free. Attendees will be responsible for their own food and drinks.

“Founded in 1905 as a business networking group, Rotary International is now the world’s most prominent service organization, with 1.2 million members focusing efforts in promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education, and growing local economies. The business initiative supplements the service and friendship aspects of Rotary,” says Ray Freaney of Berkeley Heights, Governor-Elect of the District.

“Rotarians are people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures who share a passion for service. Currently, we have over 2,000 enthusiastic, dedicated and humanitarian service-driven Rotarians in our district, which spans Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Warren, Somerset, Sussex, and Union counties. We network, discuss the needs of our community and take tangible action, while sharing professional expertise and enjoying friendship. We are excited to grow our membership through business networking and local service projects, including End Hunger 3.6, Rotary-Habitat Partnership, veteran support initiatives, Camp Merry Heart, Gift of Life, and many more,” says Jeannie Tsukamoto of Harding Township, Membership Chair of the District, which consists of 87 area clubs.
