The New Providence Independence Day Celebration returns to the borough on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 on South Street from Gales Drive to Springfield Avenue, and will include fun filled activities for all. DJ John Souren of Club Souren will provide entertainment from his perch on South Street. There will be “Chalk on South” (kids of all ages can get a free “bucket” of chalk to create art and messages on the street) and lots of fun for the whole family. The event begins at 7 p.m. and the fabulous fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. Be sure to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the festivities. In case of rain, information will be posted on the Business Community website, newprovbiz.com and the borough website, newprov.org.
