Kenilworth Historical Society’s ‘Soup’s On’ Fundraiser

Eleven local businesses contributed favorite soups to be enjoyed by attendees at the Kenilworth Historical Society’s annual soup-tasting event, “Soup’s On,” which took place recently at the Kenilworth Seniors’ Center. Proceeds from the fundraiser helped defray the cost of an elevator that makes all levels of the Oswald J. Nitschke House “living history” museum and cultural arts center accessible to everyone. Participants in “Soup’s On” and their delicious soups included Boulevard Five72 (cream of cauliflower), Downtown Family Restaurant of Cranford (chicken bowtie), Elaine’s Souper Soups (chicken rice), Kenilworth Diner (barley; cream of mushroom), Lenny and John’s Subs (New England clam chowder), Michigan Deli (tomato bisque), Mike’s Place (baked potato), Riberto’s Italian Seafood Bistro and Steak House (escarole and bean), The Blackthorn (potato leek), The LAB Restaurant (spicy black bean) and Westfield Diner (chicken chili).
