April 30: BMI (Body Mass Index) & Blood Pressure Screenings, Atlantic Health Systems, Overlook Medical Center’s Mobile Health Van, 10:30 a.m.
BMI is used as a screening tool to indicate whether a person is underweight, overweight, obese or a healthy weight for their height. It is not a diagnosis. BMI is a person’s weight in kilograms divided by the square of height in meters. This tool is an attempt to quantify the amount of tissue mass (muscle, fat, and bone) in an individual, and then categorize that person based on that value. Blood pressures screenings will also be available.
