Green Brook Middle School’s Math Team, led by head coach Vamsi Desu (Watchung Hills Regional High School senior) and assistant coaches Vivian Zhang and Jagdeep Bhatia (Watchung Hills Regional High School sophomores) won second place out of over 25 teams at the MathCounts Northcentral Regional Competition at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and is one of 12 teams in New Jersey to qualify for the State Finals. The four-member team whose scores counted towards the team score were Bryan Zhang, Kevin Fu, Benjamin Liu, and Brenda Zhang. The other six individuals who participated were Anmol Bhatia, Sravan Desu, Mihika Naik, Arya Reddy, Ryan Wang, and Sara Liu. Bryan Zhang and Kevin Fu also won second and third respectively as individuals and will also be competing as individuals at the state level too.
