The Chatham High School (CHS) Theatre Department will present the renowned musical “Fiddler on the Roof” by Joseph Stein. Performances will be held Thursday, March 22 at 6 p.m. and March 23 and 24 at 7:30 p.m. Due to construction at CHS, performances will be held at Chatham Middle School (CMS) at 480 Main Street, Chatham, New Jersey.
Set in Imperial Russia in 1905, the tale centers on Tevye, the father of five daughters, and his desire to maintain his Jewish religious and cultural traditions. The audience joins him on his journey of managing his three eldest daughters and their strong desire to marry for love while by-passing the importance of tradition.
Tickets are $12 student/senior citizens and $15 adults and can be purchased in advance online at chsfiddlerontheroof.brownpapertickets.com starting Monday, March 12. Tickets will also be sold at the door before each performance and in the CHS main lobby between Monday, March 19 to Friday, March 23 from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. For more ticket information please email Jill Horowitz at jhorowitz@chatham-nj.org.
