Join us on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, 1p.m. at St. Mary’s Stoney Hill Church, 225 Mountain Boulevard, in Watchung, New Jersey, for a PowerPoint presentation by Horticulturist, Kathleen Podgalsky, “Gardening on the Rocks.” Have a rocky area in your yard? Teaming stones with native plants to form a rock garden often is the best and most visually pleasing solution to landscape problems. Kathleen will show how a rock garden can be developed or constructed, adapting to individual sites and resources available. A variety of suitable plants and information on caring for the garden will be covered.
Kathleen Podgalsky has worked in horticulture for over 20 years. More than 18 of them at the Leonard J. Buck Garden of the Somerset County Park commission. One of the finest public gardens in the region, it features rock outcroppings in a woodland setting, planted with a variety of perennial suitable for rock gardens. Kathleen has a BA from Seton Hall University with a major in art history. She also attended the horticulture program it County College of Morris karma as well as many conferences and seminars on horticulture and gardening.
