Santa’s Visit to North Plainfield

North Plainfield families gathered at Vermeule Community Center, 614 Greenbrook Rd., on November 26 to celebrate the start of the holiday season.
Santa arrived on a fire truck, with an elf assistant, and stayed to pose for photos with children. Other festivities included Christmas caroling, refreshments, and the tree lighting.
The North Plainfield High School Music Parents Association donated hot chocolate; the North Plainfield Recreation Department donated popcorn; the North Plainfield Municipal Alliance donated coloring books and crayons, yo-yos and pencils; and Unity Bank donated a Frosty the Snowman character, who greeted children and took photographs with them.
This free event was sponsored by the North Plainfield Parks and Recreation Committee, the Mayor’s Special Events Committee, and Mayor Michael Giordano.
