The Woman’s Club of Westfield (WCW) spent an enjoyable afternoon recently during a general meeting of the club. The club’s upcoming year’s schedule was discussed and first on the list will be the annual decorating and filling of Christmas stockings for our troops who will find themselves far away for Christmas. This is a project very much enjoyed and supported by our members.
A guest speaker, Arline Zatz, gave a very interesting slide program which she narrated on The Gardens of New Jersey, including Public Gardens, Aboretums, and Parks. She was able to give a personal touch to each slide which added to the effect of the
beautiful flowers and trees shown. Arline has written many books including: “New Jersey Bicycle Tours, ‘Great Gardens” and Best Hikes With Children.”
Ladies from Westfield and the surrounding area who are interested in helping those in need, working on group projects and making new friends at the same time are encouraged to join us. Meetings are held from September through June at the Atlas Pythagoras Masonic Lodge, 1011 Central Avenue, Westfield.
