Fantasy City Building Art Program

Children ages 5 and up are invited to come and build a fantasy city. We will display the fantasy cities in the library all summer long as part of our Build a Better World Summer Reading Program and children can pick up their artwork later in the summer to keep. Yoga Storytime
on Fridays in July at 10 am
Story time yoga encourages mind/body connection for children through the use of stories with yoga. Each week will feature a different story and we will go on a new adventure. Permission slips are required before participating in the class. They may be filled out upon arrival, but please come early to fill them out. Each session has separate registration. For ages 3 and up.
Union County Division on Aging Services
on Monday, July 10 from 10- Noon
Do you have a questions about services for seniors or their caregivers? The Union County Division on Aging will be at the Clark Public Library to answer them. Drop by anytime between 10am-12pm and get answers to your questions about: pharmaceutical assistance, home energy assistance, home care, home delivered or congregate meals, caregiver relief, medicaid, transportation, and other questions you may have.
Enjoy Explore India: Peacock Surprise

This interactive story never fails to fill us with excitement, as it ends in a beautiful peacock illustration. Learn to draw a peacock and decorate it with pretty gold and silver laces, special blue and green ribbons, flowers, and jewels to make your picture look as magnificent as the grand peacock himself. Preschool Duplo Bingo
on Thursday, July 13 and Monday, July 31 at 10 am
Duplo Animal Bingo is a new twist on a fun, classic game. Preschoolers pick a building card enabling them to construct their animal by collecting the corresponding bricks as they are drawn. Registration is required. Mad Science Workshops for Children Entering Grades 3 and Up. Registration for individual workshops is required.
Harnessing Heat
on Thursday, July 13 at 3:00 pm
Fast moving molecules are the main attraction in this exploration of energy and heat. Children will see Boyle’s law in action, as we show how air behaves when heated or cooled, and will also learn the role heat plays in phase changes. The children will partake in the tasty miracle of science we know as Cotton Candy.
Matter of Fact

In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of chemistry. They will construct marshmallow molecules. They’ll learn to distinguish between physical & chemical changes like true scientists! To finish up, children are introduced to the basics of polymers and get to make their very own polymer putty to take home!
Teen/Tween Program: Traditional Wood Block Printing

Learn about the ancient art of block printing from India. Choose a special DIY kit to make a cool block printed design on fabric. You can also use blocks to create greeting cards, wrapping paper, bookmarks, and more! Open to all tweens and teens! Please register.

Join us in attempting to make structures out of various materials. We will have different stations, with different building materials, to see what silly structures you can create. Bring your imagination and engineering skills!
Bricks for Kidz LEGO® Extravaganza

at 10:00 am LEGO® Duplo Build for Preschoolers for 3-4 year olds
Activities include discussion of the Model of the Day, Duplo Lego model building with specific building instruction and creativity challenges, and lastly, letter pattern and logic exercises.
at 11:00 am Beginner Motorized LEGO® Build for 5-8 year olds
Children ages 5-8 will participate in a 60 minute active motorized Lego building with specific instruction. Students work in pairs to complete/modify/encourage the project.
at 12:00 pm Advanced Motorized LEGO® Build for 8-11 year olds
Children ages 8-10 will participate in an advanced 60 minute active motorized Lego building with specific instruction. Students work in pairs to complete/modify/encourage the project.
Mother/Daughter Book Club
