Field Trip to Summit Police Department

Jefferson 1st graders recently walked to the Summit Police Department for a field trip, where they were given a tour of a courtroom, the offices, and even a jail cell. One of the highlights was meeting Police Chief Weck. They presented him with a book of poems, as well as gift cards for the department that were donated by Jefferson Primary Center and Jefferson Elementary School staff on their “Day of Service.” The students send special thanks to the entire SPD, Janet Gibney, Christopher Wilson, Janet Blasi, Carrie Pedersen, Alex Sprinzen, Marisol Rodriguez, Megan Mucelli, Rachel Petrella, Angelica Hughes, and Sahar Rimawi.
