Five teachers have been recognized for their exceptional contributions to the students of Warren Township Schools as part of a district initiative to reward exemplary educators. The following teachers are this year’s recipients of the Excellence in Education Award:
Hildegarde Jackson, World Language Teacher, Central School; Elena Marinello, Grade 1 Teacher, Angelo L. Tomaso; Lauren Regal, Grade 8 Guidance Counselor, Warren Middle School; Jennifer Ronkiewicz, Art Teacher, Woodland School; Kristen Stoyanov, Grade 3 Teacher, Mt. Horeb School.
Each award recipient was chosen for her commitment to important academic, social and developmental criteria, including quality and innovative classroom instruction, positive interactions with students, staff and parents and fostering an environment where each student feels welcome and is able to achieve his/her fullest potential.
Superintendent Matthew Mingle says, “We are fortunate to have many outstanding educators in Warren. These five individuals are deserving recipients of this year’s recognition through their unwavering dedication to their students.”
The Warren Township Board of Education will award each of the recipients a $500 grant to be used toward an educational purchase for her classroom.
