Practice has paid off for Westfield High School violinists Morgan Eng and Kevin Li. The sophomores were accepted into the Central Jersey Music Education Association’s Region 2 Orchestra and performed with other select musicians on January 8, 2017 at Montgomery High School. In addition, on Saturday March 18, Li auditioned for and was accepted into the NJ All-State Orchestra. The audition consisted of approximately 100 eligible students from the three region orchestras. The All State performances will be held on November 10, 2017 at the NJEA Convention in Atlantic City and November 19, 2017 at the NPAC in Newark. Craig Stanton, Westfield High School’s Orchestra Director and Writing and Arranging Music teacher, said, “We are all very proud of Morgan and Kevin for their accomplishments. Making regional and state level orchestra is no easy task. It is a testament to all of their hard work that they made it this far.”
