The Summit Police department will offer its “Summit Safe Seniors” program at SAGE Eldercare, 290 Broad Street, Summit, on March 15, 1 – 2 pm.
Presented by Officer Matt Tarentino, the program will offer insight into telephone and Internet scams, identity theft, being safe at home, and other important safety tips. Older adults and caregivers are welcome to attend the free program.
“The Summit Safe Seniors program strives to help some of our most treasured residents, our senior citizens, and their caregivers, in a fun, interactive way,” Tarentino said. “We want to help people understand the facts surrounding scams, fraud, and identity theft that they may see on the news, and give them the most up-to-date tools and knowledge needed so they and their family members can avoid falling victim.”
For more information or to register for the program, please call: 908.598.5548 or email: education@sageeldercare.org.
