The Spring Reading Program at the Kenilworth Public Library begins Monday, March 27th and concludes on Friday, May 12th. Children who were registered for the Winter 2017 reading club we be preregistered for the Spring session.

Mommy, Daddy & Me
a parent and child at-home reading program for children ages 2 to 5.
I Can Read
a reading program for children who are just starting to read on their own from ages 6 to 8. Club Readsalot
a reading program for children ages 9 to 12.
No registration is required for the following programs unless otherwise noted.

for ages 0 to 23 months will be held on the following
Tuesdays from 10:30 to 10:50 am: March 28, April 4, 11, 18 & 25 and May 2 & 9.
Movies At The Library
for ages 4 and up will be held on the following
Tuesdays from 3:30 – 4:30pm: March 28, April 4, 11, 18 & 25 and May 2 & 9.
Toddler Time
for 2 year olds will be held on the following
Wednesdays from 10:30 to 10:50 am: March 29. April 5, 12, 19 & 26 and May 3 & 10.
Stories, puppets and music just right for young listeners will be introduced.
Technology At The Library
for ages 9 to 17 years old will be held on the following
Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm: March 29, April 5, 12, 19 & 26 and May 3 & 10.
Explore technology and Maker Culture including 3-D printing, Arduino projects and more!
PJ Story Time
for children ages 3 and up will be held on the following
Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:00 pm: March 30, April 6, 13, 20 & 27 and May 4 & 11 .
Children are invited to wear their pajamas to this program, and bring along a stuffed animal, too.
Lego At The Library
for 4 – 12 year olds will be held on the following
Fridays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm: March 31. April 21 and May 5.
Lego at the Library is made possible by donations from the Walmart Local Giving Program and Jackie Fidurski.
Bingo for Young Children
will be held on the following Fridays from 3:30 to 4:00pm for children ages 3 and up:
April 7 and May 12.
Games may include A-B-C Bingo, Number Bingo and Color & Shape Bingo. Parents must remain in the library during the program.
Bingo for Children Who Can Read
will be held on the following
Friday from 3:30 to 4:00pm in the Activity Room: April 28.
Games may include Book Bingo, USA Bingo, History Bingo and Kenilworth Bingo. Parents do not participate in this program.
Special Event At The Library: NJ Makers Day
It’s a day to celebrate DIY at the Kenilworth Public Library! Stop by on
Saturday, March 25 between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm
to take part in NJ Makers Day. We’ll have hands-on stations and live demonstrations celebrating the many aspects of maker culture. Last year’s demonstrations included 3D printing, robotics, spinning and weavings, circuitry, and more. Come see what NJ Makers Day is all about!
NJ Makers Day is designed to be a statewide event that celebrates, promotes, and in many cases may introduce maker culture, as well as the values associated with making, tinkering and STEM-based learning. In 2015, the inaugural NJ Makers Day drew over 13,000 individual attendees to 130 participating sites across all 21 counties in the state. Participating locations included public and academic libraries, schools, museums, schools, commercial makerspaces, and AC Moore stores, as well as sponsorship from such organizations as LibraryLinkNJ, littleBits Electronics, and ManufactureNJ .Registration in not required. Everyone is welcome.
Cartooning With Doug Baron
will be held on
Saturday, April 8 at 10:30am – 12:00 noon.
Children ages 8 and up, teens & adults are invited to register for this workshop! Learn to draw characters from the latest 2017 films, including Beauty and The Beast and Power Rangers.

Bubble Trouble At The Library
will be held on
Thursday, May 4 at 6:30 – 7:15pm
Jeff Boyer will amaze and entertain children ages 4 & up and their families with this incredible bubble show. Registration is required. This program has been funded by a Wells Fargo Grant, and The Friends of the Kenilworth Public Library. Registration begins on Thursday, April 27th for Kenilworth residents.
