Volunteers at Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains prepared sandwiches for Plainfield’s Second Street Youth Center (SSYC) on Wednesday, December 14The synagogue’s Social Action committee organizes monthly sandwich-making sessions for volunteers of all ages to prepare after-school snacks for participants at the youth center. Sandwiches are delivered to the youth center the following day.
The Second Street Youth Center Foundation is a multipurpose non-profit organization that provides educational, vocational, cultural and recreational activities for youth and adults in the Plainfield community.
