SOMERSET COUNTY LIBRARY NOW HAS YEAR-ROUND SUNDAY HOURS

Somerset County Library System of New Jersey’s Warren Twp. Library branch will be open Sundays, 1-5 p.m. throughout the year starting in 2017.
“In recent years, the trend in libraries nationwide has been to offer patrons enhanced access to library spaces and collections – even on Sundays. In fact, at SCLSNJ, Sundays are most often our busiest days,” said County Library Administrator Brian K. Auger. “This important change – adding a third location, and no longer closing branches during summer Sundays – is further expanding SCLSNJ’s superior library services. Libraries continue to be cornerstones of communities, and it is my goal, and the goal of all SCLSNJ staff members, to continue to be an integral institution for the residents of Somerset County.”
Due to internal union contract negotiations, at this time the branches will offer abbreviated services. However, patrons will still have use of Library spaces, WiFi connections, computer terminals, as well as access to all print and digital collections. If a patron requires more in-depth research support, the ability to schedule a free one-on-one appointment (Monday-Saturday) with a trained SCLSNJ staff member will be available.
