Annual Winter Festival & Yuletide Bonfire

Warren Township Recreation Commission will be holding its 9th Free Annual Winter Festival & Yuletide Bonfire on Sat, January 14th (rain date Jan 21) from 4-7pm behind the Municipal Complex off of Bardy Road. There are new rides and activities this year! Opening ceremony will begin with a comment from the Mayor and music by WHRHS Marching Band while the Washington Valley Firemen light the bonfire.
Enjoy the entertainment of the Take Flight Dance Center of Warren’s production of Super Hero’s; other musicians include Bob Marino & Warren’s Got Talent winner, Sarah Levine. There will be carnival games by the local sports clubs: Watchung Hills Soccer Assoc, Pop Warner Football/Cheer, The Hills Lacrosse and Warren Baseball/Softball Assoc. Back by popular demand is stargazing by Stonecrest Community Church. Bring your camera and take a picture with special mystery guests. Watch for our special entertainers, who will be mingling amongst us. Bundle up with a horse & carriage ride while the kids enjoy the petting zoo with many adorable animals. Other fun activities include the turbo tub ride, enormous blowup slide, the playground, plus ice skating or sledding (weather permitting). Warren Police will have a booth while handing out special treats, check them out. Tour the fire truck and rescue squad, try on the equipment and snap a picture to remember
While warming up under the pavilion fireplace listen to quiet music and have your caricature drawn or face painted. The Warren Cub Scouts will be serving popcorn and hot chocolate.
This is a FREE event including hot chocolate, cider and marshmallow roasting by the Warren Girlscouts. Skip dinner so you can enjoy the famous Smokin’ Chicks homemade pulled pork, brisket or chicken BBQ sliders, Tacos, chicken fingers or fries for a small price. This year we have an additional food vendor selling hot dogs, sausage and steak sandwiches, fried dough & oreos.
Handicap parking will be at the Elks Lodge & all other parking at the municipal lot off Bardy Road, Cooper Jewelers & PNC Bank. Please cross at the street light and the police crossing in front of the library field only.
Don’t miss the Fireworks at 7pm while 6 year old Phillip Levonian sings the American Anthem.!
