Seven Westfield High School seniors signed Letters of Intent with Division 1 colleges and universities on November 2nd, signifying recognition of the student athletes’ accomplishments both academically and athletically.
Acting Principal Derrick Nelson and Athletic Director Sandy Mamary congratulated the students, “Westfield High School students continually attract college recruiters from around the country,” remarked Ms. Mamary. “Our recent graduates from 2016, for example, are well represented, with 42 now participating on teams at the collegiate level,” she added. The NCAA manages the daily operations of the National Letter of Intent program, while the Collegiate Commissioners Association (CCA) provides governance oversight. The program has scheduled additional signing dates for high school athletes in 2017.
