The Township of Clark held its Annual Tree Lighting / Winter Festival the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Over 2,000 residents enjoyed the festivities including pony rides, horse and buggy rides, hay rides, train ride, and a petting zoo. Residents were entertained by stilt walkers, the Grinch, Frosty and Rudolph, the Wonderland band and strolling Dickens Carolers.
The ALJ High School Marching Band and Choir performed for the crowd as well as the two grammar schools and Kumpf Middle School.
Everyone was treated to apple cider, hot chocolate, hot pretzels, jelly apples, chestnuts, cinnamon donuts, Friendly’s ice cream and cookies from Vaccaro’s Bakery.
The entire event was funded by the generous donations of the businesses and organizations in town. Recreation Director Ralph Bernardo who ran the event was thrilled with the weather and HUGE turnout.
