FREE YOGA DAY AT HANSON PARK

Please join the Hanson Park Conservancy on Sunday, September 18 for Free Yoga Day with Bridget Briant of YogaToGoNJ.com at Hanson Park, 38 Springfield Ave. in Cranford from 10:30 AM-1 PM. Come enjoy nature as we kick off the day at 10:30 AM with a free yoga session accompanied by Adam Laboz on sitar and Mark Johnson on tabla. At noon there will be a meditation session, also with music. Or just come to enjoy the beautiful park and listen to the music. Please bring your yoga mat!
Bridget Briant is a classically trained yoga instructor who attained certification in 2002 at Nicole’s Yoga Center in Garwood, NJ. She has studied many forms of yoga including Hatha, Ashtanga, Kriya, Raja and Kundalini. She started teaching children in 2002 and adults at Rutgers University in 2003. Her style has evolved into a practical form of yoga, as her classes are tailored to meet the needs of her clients.
Adam Laboz is a unique sitarist and composer who specializes in Indian Classical music, but also Indian/Western fusion. He is one of the few sitar players who has had the distinct honor of performing at Madison Square Garden with the band, Weezer.
Mark Johnson started playing the drums at the age of 12 and at age 14, he began playing in clubs with his father, Scat Johnson. His career took off as he started playing and touring the world with many artists such as: Freddie Hubbard, Jackie McLean, Abbey Lincoln, Steve Coleman and David Murray.
