“Mayhem” Takes Over High School

The Westfield High School Theatre Department presented Mayhem this Spring at the WHS auditorium. An audience of over 200 people from the community listened as students performed in bands, sang solos or entertained the audience with group numbers. It was a truly fun evening as light-hearted emcees kept things moving along. WHS junior, Meagan O’Connell, directed this student-run production, which involved the efforts of over 60 students who designed sets, handled lighting, and coordinated sound and set changes. In addition to a wonderful night of entertainment, many audience members went home with wonderful gift baskets that were raffled as a fun encore to the show.
Mayhem is a yearly event sponsored by the Westfield Theatre Guild. The WTG would like to express their gratitude to the businesses in the community who graciously donated items to the raffle, sponsored posters and placed ads in the playbill. All proceeds from the evening will be donated to the WHS Theatre.
