Anthony DuLuca“When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to separation.” Just in case anyone has forgotten the reason why we have July 4th off, that was the introduction to the Declaration of Independence. Give it a read, share it with your children and remind them we have these freedoms today because of what was started some 240 years ago.
If you’re searching for something to do this summer, take a walk up to the Kenilworth Library, go onto www.kenilworthlibrary.org web site and check out the calendar of events that are going on for the month of July. I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the groups and individuals who are stepping up and volunteering to do some cleanup events like the Boy Scouts and the Girls Scouts as well as people like Jack Fiamingo who have taken the initiative to cleanup one of our historic signs located at Boulevard and Michigan Ave. Every little bit helps, and I thank everyone for doing their part in keeping Kenilworth a great town to live and work in.
Please make sure you visit our many fine businesses, not just on the Boulevard but throughout town. Our Businesses are vital to the success of the borough, we all need each other, so stop in and often.
