GREEN BROOK LIONS CLUB ANNOUNCES SCHOLARSHIPS TO GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM GREEN BROOK

The Green Brook Lions Club is proud to accept applications from residents of Green Brook who will be graduating from high school in the spring of 2016. $4,000 in scholarships funding is available, and applicants may apply for more one scholarship, based on the individual’s ability to meet the scholarship criteria. The following three scholarships are available: The David T. McGarry Scholarship applicant must be pursuing a college degree in business, show good math skills exemplified by good grades in advanced classes, and be of good character. $2,000 will be awarded for this scholarship.
The Green Brook Lions Club Scholarship applicant must demonstrate a reasonably high level of academic achievement, and be of good character. The student must continue their formal education at a college or vocational school. The main consideration will be the applicant’s involvement in working with the handicapped, the infirm, or less fortunate, and community service. $1,500 will be awarded for this scholarship.
The Prichard-Murphy Memorial Scholarship applicant must demonstrate a reasonably high level of academic achievement, and be of good character. The student must continue their formal education in the field of Education or Fine Arts at a college or vocational school. $500 will be awarded for this scholarship. Scholarship Applications may be requested from Raymond S.
