Adding to her already prestigious writing career, Fanwood’s Poet Laureate, Adele Kenny, has been named a 2016 Paterson Poetry Prize finalist for her book, “A Lightness, a Thirst, or Nothing at All,” from Welcome Rain Publishers.
Kenny has been a resident of Fanwood since 1974 and is also the director of the Fanwood Arts Council. Kenny is a former creative writing professor in the College of New Rochelle’s Graduate School and former writing instructor at Union County’s John H. Stamler Police Academy in Scotch Plains. She is also the current poetry editor of Tiferet Journal.
Kenny’s works, including 24 books, have been published worldwide and she has received a long list of awards leading up to this point.
