Benjamin Franklin, Queen Elizabeth II, Cleopatra and a couple of Albert Einsteins, Babe Ruths and Jane Goodalls were among the notable guests at Central School’s time-honored Biography Day.
Each second grade student chose an appropriate reading level biography, creating a report with at least 8 important events or facts and a drawing of the selected famous person. The students were instructed to write the report as if they were the prominent figure, using the first person “I” instead of the person’s name.
As part of a tradition that has taken place at Central for more than a decade, 2nd graders came dressed as the subject of their biography, presenting their report as classmates tried to guess – some successfully, others not so – just who was standing before them.
