On February 24, 2016, Saint Theresa’s School in Kenilworth, NJ was one of six schools, a total of 31 students, who attended the Union County Catholic League of Forensic “Declamation” Competition held at Saint James the Apostle School, Springfield, NJ.
Saint Theresa’s team under the direction of Mrs. Christine McCarthy and Mrs. Susan Aronowitz consisted of six students: Luke Bollwage, Makayla Koski and Stephanie Mendes (eighth graders); Andre Lissinna (seventh grade); Alexander Han and Gianna Vaynberg (sixth graders). Six students advanced to the final round. Stephanie Mendes was awarded an Honorable Mention Ribbon and Gianna Vaynberg received the First Place Ribbon.
