4 Westfield HS Students Nominated For Governor’s Schools

Four Westfield High School juniors have been nominated by the WHS Science Department to attend Governor’s Schools in the summer of 2016. The New Jersey Governor’s School in the Sciences is a 3-week residential program for rising high school seniors where students are immersed in intense college-level research on the campus of Drew University.
The Governor’s School of Engineering & Technology — on the campus of the Rutgers University School of Engineering — describes its program as “a unique and intensive residential summer program that brings together some of New Jersey’s most talented and motivated high school students.” “This year our applicants were truly an exceptional group of students,” stated Dr. Stoneback.
“Unfortunately, we could nominate only two students to each of the Governor’s Schools; we congratulate our distinguished nominees and wish them the best in the final state-wide selection process,” he added.
