Kenilworth VFW Post #2230

Commander Robert E. Jeans, better known as “Bobby”, was among nineteen individuals recently recognized by the Union County Human Relations Commission at their annual Unity Achievement Award Presentation and dinner held on May 13, 2024, at the Kean University STEM Center.

Bobby was honored for his outstanding military service to our country, his ceaseless dedication to our veterans and the community. He has been a member of Kenilworth VFW Post #2230 for the past 53 years and the Commander for the past 24 years. Bobby was also District 5 Commander for several years and belongs to countless other veteran and civic organizations.  

He serves as the business manager, event manager and commander of the VFW since 1999 and works vigorously every day at the Post, sometimes up to 12 hours a day. He was very honored to receive the award. In his humble acceptance speech he mentioned other organizations that continue to tirelessly serve others. Congratulations to Bobby for a job well done and continues to do!
