The Summit Foundation announces new trustees

The Summit Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Jeffries and Sara Reeder to its board of trustees, effective May 1, 2024. With years of experience and leadership in financial services, entrepreneurship, and in Summit nonprofit organizations, the new board membersbring valuable expertise and a keen understanding of the Summit community.

Rob Jeffries, a retired investment banking executive with Barclays and JP Morgan, comes to the board with over a decade of leadership experience from the Summit Area YMCA, including two years as chairman. He currently serves as treasurer and board member of the Buck Hill Falls Conservation Foundation. “Colleen [Rob’s wife] and I have lived in Summit for 30 years and raised our three children here.  I believe Summit is a special town.  The Summit Foundation is an incredible charity that supports so many great organizations here in Summit.  I am thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to join its board of trustees,” said Rob.

Sara Reeder, founder and manager of Murray Hill Tennis & Fitness for the past nine years, has a strong history of volunteerism in Summit. She previously served on the board of the Cornerstone School and volunteered with the Junior League of Summit Thrift Shop. She formerly practiced corporate law at Clifford Chance New York and is an owner of the Summit House restaurant. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to the health and ongoing improvement of our already special community of Summit,” said Sara.

The Summit Foundation fosters philanthropy and cultivates resources to address needs and improve lives in the Summit, NJ, area.
