COME HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE!
LHS presents spring musical, Mamma Mia!
The Linden Fine and Performing Arts Department will present the Broadway sensation Mamma Mia! on Thursday, March 21st, Friday, March 22nd, and Saturday, March 23rd. Performances will be held at Linden High School’s Susan L. Hudak Auditorium (121 West St. Georges Avenue, Linden, New Jersey) at 7:00 p.m. each night. Tickets can be purchased for $12 with senior citizen tickets available for $10. With choreography by Barbara Brady and music direction by Duane Cosby and Anthony Spano, the production is sure to have audiences dancing in the aisles.
Mamma Mia! is a joyous and energetic story all about finding love, family and facing the past amidst the beautiful scenery of a vacation spot in Greece – all told through the infectious songs by iconic 70’s sensation, ABBA! Director Howard Whitmore has brought together a group of passionate students and staff who are excited to share this story with their community.
Donna Sheridan (played by junior, Abigail Armstead), is a single mother who works hard to provide a perfect wedding day for everyone but herself, including her 20-year-old daughter Sophie (senior, Daniella Velasco) and all the residents of her beach-side hotel. Sophie has grown up not knowing who her father is, and when she discovers Donna’s old diary just before marrying her fiancé Sky (freshman, Christopher Joyner), she decides to dig up the past and invite her three potential fathers to her wedding. Cristian Medeiros, Justin Barsnica, and Stephan Sidibe, play the unsuspecting possible dads as playful chaos ensues that can only leave Donna thinking “…Here we go again!”
